Proyecto Abrigo - Mexico

Date: July 26-30

Cost: Approximately $150/person

Proyecto Abrigo (Project Shelter) is a home-building ministry located in the Tierra Nueva and Loma Blanca outskirts of Juarez, Mexico. This organization focuses specifically on helping families with young children and it also offers other services in addition to home-building: medical services, occupational training, and an invitation to be a part of one of their church communities. You can learn more about Proyecto Abrigo from their website: proyectoabrigo.org.

Our church has an opportunity to partner with Proyecto Abrigo to bring the love of Christ in a practical, hands-on way: to build a house in Jesus' name that will protect these families from the cold of winter and the sweltering heat of summer. We build houses in teams of 10 people under the instruction of two "Maestros," professional Mexican builders who work with the organization.

This trip is open for children ages 10-12 with a parent on the trip and ages 13 & up with parental approval.

Applications for this trip are open through April 24th . Apply here.
