St. Luke’s Southwest, a United Methodist Church in Lubbock, Texas, is seeking a full-time Contemporary Worship Pastor with intermediate to advanced level of ability for guitar and voice skills. We are looking for a fully devoted follower of Jesus Christ with spiritual maturity and a strong knowledge of worship leadership. Ministry takes place in our weekly 10:30am worship on Sunday with a worshiping congregation of about 200 people and growing. Additional worship leadership and development is required for seasonal services, youth evening worship and expansion of additional worship services on Sunday morning and possibly Saturday evening. Applicants need to have a working knowledge of presentation software (or the ability to learn Media Shout). It is preferred that applicants have some computer graphic design capability for presentation development for worship services.
Weekly schedule is flexible depending on the right candidate. Set times include: Sunday 8:00am to 12:00 for practice and worship. Sunday night availability for youth worship activities. Tuesday for staff and worship planning meetings. Wednesday night availability for youth worship activities. Regular/Flexible times for pastoral meetings, growth in ministry, recruitment, mentoring, office hours, and other duties as assigned by the Southwest Lead Pastor. As an exempt full-time staff member you will receive a competitive salary, business expense allowance, paid vacation, and paid sick leave. There are currently no retirement or insurance benefits provided.
